CLEVELAND, Ohio – May 31, 2022 – Marketplace Events has acquired the Denver Colorado Country Christmas Gift Show from Showcase Events, Inc., it was announced today, by Tom Baugh, CEO of Marketplace Events and Rick Matthews, President of Showcase Events, Inc.

This will be the second annual event in Denver for the company which also operates the Denver Home Show, held annually in March at the National Western Complex.

“The Country Christmas Show is an incredibly well-run and well-attended show that has become a holiday tradition,” said Baugh. “We are excited to expand our presence in Denver by adding a holiday show and to continue to deliver the level of quality that Showcase Events has established in Denver,” he continued.   

“We know the Denver show will be in good hands with Marketplace Events,” said Matthews.  “Their expertise is unquestioned but they also share our commitment to customer service which was important to us.” Showcase Events will continue to operate their holiday events in Colorado Springs, Tacoma and Salt Lake City. 

The acquisition brings the Marketplace Events portfolio to 75 annual events in 33 markets.  “Adding Denver to our rapidly expanding North American holiday show portfolio is a unique opportunity to accelerate growth,” Baugh explained.  The company’s three most recent acquisitions are all holiday shows and include the Denver show as well as the Cincinnati Holiday Market and the Cleveland Christmas Connection, bringing their total number of holiday events to eight with a ninth launch planned for 2023 in Atlanta.
