Exhibit Sales Consultant - Floater

Currently recruiting in the following market (1 job opening available): Indianapolis

This is a remote position working from home in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our team is looking for top talent in the Indianapolis market to work remotely 80/90% of the time and onsite at shows 20/10% of the time. You will work on multiple shows focusing on new business prospecting, we have a strong prospecting database. Selling exhibit space for our premier home shows to businesses in the remodeling, home décor, landscaping and building industries is your primary responsibility. Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell exhibit space in home show(s) and add-on advertising/marketing opportunities via outbound telephone calls
  • Make 50–60 sales calls per day to current and prospective clients
  • Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals and related targets
  • Work in CRM program; document every sales conversation with complete and detailed information, and maintain/update sales database using existing processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with exhibitors to ensure satisfaction and provide excellent service
  • Use consumer research to understand attendee demographics and help exhibitors effectively reach their customers
  • Continuously seek leads for potential exhibitors from sources like media ads, internet, competitive shows, other Marketplace Events shows, and associations
  • Attend appropriate competitive shows/events and follow up on leads promptly
  • Source local sponsorship leads
  • Understand show features and the marketing/promotional plan and apply this knowledge in sales efforts
  • Attend weekly video chats and occasional in-person meetings with manager, team, and/or clients, plus the annual in-person company meeting
  • Provide on-site floor management during the show and assist with coordination of move-in/move-out
  • Bring energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to the sales team; willing to work flexible hours as needed
  • Make collection calls as needed
  • Travel to company meetings, shows, and training
  • Other duties as required

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • 2+ years of proven sales experience required, preferably in a telephone-based, inside sales, outbound calling environment
  • College or university degree preferred
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office required
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills required
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and meet conflicting deadlines
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and stress management skills
  • Experience in events, including home shows, is a plus
