CLEVELAND, Ohio – December 9, 2019 – Marketplace Events, the largest producer of business-to-consumer shows in North America, today announced that it has acquired the Nashville Home Show, which runs annually in September at Music City Center, from All Show Services in Rockville, Maryland.
Marketplace Events already operates the spring home and remodeling expo at the same venue – a show they launched three years ago. “Nashville is a robust market. The Music City Center is a top-echelon facility, and the Nashville Home Show is a Fall event we’ve been hoping to add to our portfolio for many, many years,” said Marketplace Events CEO Tom Baugh. The September home show has run in the market for almost 40 years. “We’re looking forward to working closely with Brian Ivey and his MCC staff to turn the Nashville Home Show into a major regional event.”
“We are thrilled to turn the Nashville Home Show over to the very capable team at Marketplace Events,” said Eric Udler, President of All Show Services. “Exhibitors, sponsors and attendees will benefit greatly from their resources and industry experience ensuring this show continues to thrive in the future.”
Tami Bailey, manager of the spring show, which runs March 13-15, 2020, will also oversee the new fall show, scheduled for September 11-13, 2020, according to Brent Keller, VP of Operations & Integration for Marketplace Events. For more information about the Nashville Shows contact Tami Bailey at TamaraB@MarketplaceEvents.com.
The acquisition is the company’s 12th since being purchased by Sentinel Capital Partners in 2016, bringing their portfolio to 76 shows in 34 markets including 52 consumer home shows in the US, 16 in Canada, five holiday shows, two bridal shows and one spring boutique. The 76 combined events attract 22,000 exhibitors, 1.9 million attendees and another 3 million unique web visitors annually.
From 15 offices, the 170-person staff produces some of the most successful and longest-running shows in North America, including market-leading shows in Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal—some of which have thrived in their markets for more than 75 years.
