Marketplace Events Acquires Arizona Bridal Shows From Townsquare Live Events, LLC

Marketplace Events, the largest producer of business to consumer home shows in North America, announced today that it has purchased two Arizona Bridal Shows from Townsquare Live Events, LLC. The shows run annually in January and June at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ.
CLEVELAND, Ohio – March 20, 2019 – Marketplace Events, the largest producer of business to consumer home shows in North America, announced today that it has purchased two Arizona Bridal Shows from Townsquare Live Events, LLC. The shows run annually in January and June at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ.
Marketplace Events produces 59 home shows in North America and five holiday shows in the US, but this will be the company’s first foray into bridal shows.
“Phoenix is a robust consumer show market and one that we’ve looked to participate in for what seems the longest time,” explained Marketplace Events CEO Tom Baugh. “The Arizona Bridal Shows are historically two of the strongest events in the bridal category, so they are a good fit for MPE. We’re eager to grow these shows and establish a significant presence in this strategic market.”
The acquisition, the company’s 10th since being purchased by Sentinel Capital Partners in 2016, brings the Marketplace Events portfolio to 66 total events in 31 markets.
Corporate Solutions of Westport, Connecticut was the exclusive advisor to Townsquare Media in arranging, structuring and negotiating this transaction.
