CLEVELAND, Ohio – January 30, 2018 – Marketplace Events, the largest producer of home and holiday events in North America, announced the launch of five new shows:  four holiday shows and one home show.

Three of the four holiday shows, all to launch in 2018, are in new markets including:  Milwaukee Holiday Boutique, November 2-4, 2018 at Wisconsin State Fair Park; Columbus Holiday Boutique, November 2-4, 2018 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center; and Detroit Holiday Boutique, November 30-December 2, 2018 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Mich.  The fourth launch, Mystic Lake Holiday Boutique, will take place at the new Mystic Lake Center, located 25 miles southwest of Minneapolis-Saint Paul, from November 2-4, one week prior to the company’s Minneapolis Holiday Boutique, a show they launched in 2016, which takes place at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Marketplace Events will also launch a home show at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in January of 2019.  This will be the fourth Ohio show for the company, which also produces the Great Big Home + Garden Show in Cleveland, the Cincinnati Home + Garden Show and the Columbus Holiday Boutique.

Marketplace Events now produces 61 shows annually in 28 markets in North America. This includes 38 US home shows, 14 Canadian home shows and nine US holiday shows. The holiday shows are part of a new and growing business division for the company, which acquired its first holiday show in 2014 in Overland Park, Kan.

“Today’s announcement is further confirmation of our belief that home and holiday shows are a most fertile market,” said CEO Tom Baugh.  “The traits that make us a successful home show producer have translated really well to the holiday show business. We are a sales and marketing company that prides itself on great customer service and quality shows,” he continued. “The growth we have seen in this area of our business has further solidified us as the premier consumer events producer in North America.”

Last year the company acquired the country’s largest and longest-running holiday show, the Southern Christmas Show, which runs for 12 days in Charlotte, N.C.
