Marketplace Events LLC has purchased the division of a company that produces the Orlando Home Show and the Central Florida Home & Garden Show.

Solon, Ohio-based Marketplace Events purchased the North American Home Show division from DMG World Media, a United Kingdom-based media company.

The company also announced it signed a three-year deal with Ty Pennington, host of the ABC-TV's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Pennington will act as spokesman for Marketplace Events and the home shows the company produces.

A new business-to-business division, called Marketplace Events Consultants, was launched to provide show exhibitors, sponsors and consumer show producers with custom consulting.

Marketplace Events produces two shows in Jacksonville, two shows in West Palm Beach, one show in Tampa and a new show set for Daytona Beach.
