ExhibiTALK

The team at Marketplace Events strives to take each show beyond exhibit space, banners, and logos... We build experiences. ExhibiTALK is where the Marketplace Events team shares best practices and strategies to truly get the most out of your show experience. We bring buyers and sellers together in environments that ensure opportunity and success for our customers. Online, in print or on the show floor, we connect businesses with the audiences they need to reach; and we want to make sure every connection is worthwhile.

Toast to an Early Spring in Calgary

Feb 01 2016
Ahead of the upcoming Calgary Home + Garden Show, Calgary’s top media personalities, bloggers & designers gathered last week for a modern garden party and a sneak peek at this year’s show, taking place from February 25-28, 2016 at the BMO Centre and Stampede Park.

Nearly 50 stylish guests were transported to warmer days inside Last Best Brewing and Distilling with fresh, handcrafted beers and bites, while the lovely ladies of Amborella Floral Studio welcomed guests with a whimsical floral crown workshop. Be sure to catch Amborella’s floral expert Misha White on the Home + Garden Stage Thursday, February 25 at 5PM, or stop by the Amborella Flower Market in Hall E to pick up a few blooms, or take an impromptu flower arranging workshop.

Adorned with delicate buds and blooms, guests then had the chance to cozy up in the Floral Photo Lounge to snap a selfie. Designed by local DIY expert Lacey Haskell of Feathering My Nest, the lounge featured vibrant natural textures, hanging moss and fern balls, touches of gold and green, and one-of-a-kind vintage pieces including a stunning green velvet chair from Orange Trunk Rentals.

To top it all off, Blue Grass Nursery gave our YYC urbanites a chance to make their own hanging terrarium. Attendees put their green thumbs to work, creatively combining tiny succulents, bright mosses, soft sands and beachy pieces of wood to create a mini-indoor garden. Stop by Blue Grass’ Living Green Workshops, taking place all show long in the Corral, to make your own terrarium or shadow box planter!
